E PORT Consulting's biggest success story to date is Skunkworks
Technology. The Western Australian based company was a great test case for the E
PORT model. It had already fully embraced the e-commerce sales method, selling
its range of mounting solutions for flat screens via an Australian website www.skunkworks.com.au.
Initially using the Go NOW Lite program, Skunkworks housed its products
in an Australian warehouse and exported them to the eastern states and to other
countries around the world.
In time, Skunkworks went with the Go NOW service and
channeled a considerable stock holding through the UK/Europe/US network. Within six
months of doing this Skunkworks profits increased dramatically.
"Whilst
there was an initial outlay for getting the goods to the UK warehouse, we've
found the E PORT model to be very economical," commented a Skunkworks
spokesperson . "They [E PORT] handle all the e-commerce side of our business as
well as the warehousing and moving the products around to customers etc and it
only costs us a small percentage of the sale.
Considering these are sales we
couldn't have made on our own and that we are still free to focus on building
our day to day Australian operations, it has provided an unexpected boost to our
business. It's a benefit we see not just in dollar terms but also in the
invaluable international awareness that has been established for our brand name
and products.
